John Frederick Dryer is an American actor, radio presenter, screenwriter and former defender of the American football team in the National Football League. He played 13 years in the NFL, in 176 games starting in 1969, and has scored 104 games in his career with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams. He's the only NFL player to score two safe runs in a game. After retiring from football, Dryer had a successful career as a film and television actor, most notably in the Hunter series. His 1.80 m height and physique are useful for action roles.
