About Fred Hoiberg
Former NBA guard who became the Chicago Bulls' head coach in 2015. From 2012 to 2015, he was the coach of the Iowa State Cyclones, leading the club to two Big 12 Tournament Championships and four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet Sixteen visit in 2014. In 2012, he was also voted Big 12 Coach of the Year.
Fredrick Kristian Hoiberg is a former American college basketball player and coach. He is currently the Head Coach of the University of Nebraska Men's Basketball Program coming in 2019. Hoiberg grew up in Ames, Iowa and played varsity basketball at Iowa State University in Ames, where he earned the nickname “chef”. He joined the National Basketball Association, over ten years of his career he played for the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves. After retiring as a player, he served as executive vice president of basketball for the Minnesota Timberwolves before beginning a coaching career at his alma mater in Iowa. He was there from 2010 to 2015 before becoming an NBA coach for the Chicago Bulls from 2015 to 2018
