In his junior year at Wichita State, he became the school's all-time assist leader. He signed as an undrafted free agency with the Toronto Raptors in 2016 and helped the team win the NBA title in 2019.
Fredderick Edmund VanVleet Sr. is an American professional basketball player with the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association. With a score of 6-1, VanVleet played college basketball for Wichita State University before starting his NBA career. He has contributed to the revival of the Wichita State Shockers basketball, including a Final made by Team Shockers 2012-13 and a regular 2013-14 team's unbeaten season. VanVleet was named the NCAA men's basketball player of the United States 2014 by many media. As a student for the 2014-15 Shockers, he was selected for the first team of the all Missouri and recipient of the Associated Press All-American Honors. VanVleet is a leader in career assistants in the State of Wichita and was named the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player in both his sophomore and final year. After an unsuccessful match in NBA Draft 2016, VanVleet signed with the Toronto Raptors.
