England were selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the seventh, 187th round overall, of the 2010 NHL Draft. However, unacceptable Hurricanes, Andersen was selected for the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft. 87th in total, by the Ducks, with whom he spent the early years of his NHL career.
