Swedish pop vocalist best known for her work with the ABBA ensemble. She sang on some of their most famous songs, including"Mamma Mia!" and"Dancing Queen". After her marriage to Prince Heinrich Ruzzo Reuss, she was given the title Princess Reuss of Plauen.
Princess Anni-Frid, Queen Dowager Earl of Plauen, better known as Frida, is a Norwegian-Swedish singer, songwriter and environmentalist. She is best known as one of the founding members and lead singer of Swedish pop group ABBA. Born in Bjørkåsen to a Norwegian mother and a German soldier father, she grew up in Torshälla, Sweden and began her first solo career there, as a jazz singer in 1967, through a talent competition called New Faces. She won the competition with her song, "En ledig dag", which led to her Hylands Hörna television appearance on Dagen H; as a result, she was signed to EMI, and in turn signed to Stig Anderson's Polar Music label, after years of releasing several singles and one album, Frida was on the previous label.
