Gareth Frank Bale is a Welsh professional footballer playing as a winger midfielder for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur on loan from the Real Madrid and Wales La Liga national team. Bale started his professional career at Southampton, playing left-back and is widely regarded as a free-kick specialist. Bale moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2007, for a final sum of £ 7million. In 2011 and 2013, he was named PFA Player of the Year and was part of the UEFA Team of the Year. In 2013, he was also named PFA Young Player of the Year, FWA Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season. He was nominated for the PFA Team of the Year three times in a row from 2011 to 2013 .
