Gary Larson is an American comic artist. He is the author of The Far Side, a one-board animated series that has been offered in over 1,900 international newspapers for fifteen years. The series ended with Larson retiring on January 1, 1995, although in September 2019 his website alluded to a "new online era of 'The Far Side'." On July 8, 2020, Larson released three comics, this is the first comic in 25 years. His twenty-three books on animated films have sold a total of over forty-five million copies.
