Gay Courter is an American author, filmmaker and child rights activist. His first novel, The Midwife, was the New York Times bestseller and one of the bestsellers in 1982. His five books were on the New York Times bestsellers list. . She is considered one of the first authors - and the first woman - to write a novel published in a word processor. His first non-fiction book, The Beansprout Book, brought bean sprouts to US supermarkets and became known as the "bean sprouter". I Speak For This Child: True stories about a child advocate who is nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. His works have been translated into several languages, including French, Spanish and Swedish.
