Genzebe Dibaba Keneni; is an Ethiopian medium and long distance runner. She won a 1500m gold medal at the World Championship in Beijing and a silver medal 1500m at the 2016 Olympics. Genzebe is currently the world record at 1500m, 3000m indoors, 5000m indoors and 5000m in home. Her 2000m indoor women's best-in-home world record is an all-time world record, as she is faster than her previous female outdoor performance. Genzebe is known for possessing the most personal world records in track history, with a current record of seven, plus one of the best world records. Genzebe is the 2012 World Indoor Champion at 1500m and the 2014 Indoor World Champion at 3000m. She represented Ethiopia at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics and competed at the World Athletic Championships five times. She has had great success as a young athlete, having won two world young cross country titles and a world gold medal at 5000 meters.
