Born and raised in Chicago, Rodriguez began her career in 2003 in his theatrical productions and made him screen debut in an episode of the television series on police procedure Law & Order. His foray was in 2012, in the independent musical film Filly Brown. She went on to star in films such as Deepwater Horizon, Ferdinand, Annihilation, Miss Bala, Some Great and Scoob !. She also plays the main character in Netflix's animated action-adventure series, Carmen Sandiego.
