Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares is a Filipino senator, businesswoman, educator and philanthropist. She is the adopted daughter of actors Susan Roces and Fernando Poe Jr. She was chair of the Film and Television Rating and Rating Council from 2010 to 2012 and to the Philippine Senate from 2013. Poe studied at the University from the Philippines to Manila, where she majored in research and development, but moved to Boston College in Massachusetts, USA, where she earned a degree in political science and spent most of her adult life in Fairfax , Virginia. In 2004, her adoptive father ran for Philippine presidency against the coming-out Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo but was defeated; he died a few months later. On April 8, 2005, Grace returned to the Philippines after learning that her father had passed away. She began defending her father's rights to election results and campaigned against allegations of election fraud.
