Gurinder Chadha, is an English Indian director. Most of his films explore the lives of Indians living in Britain. The common theme of her works is to present the challenges of Indian women living in England and how they must reconcile their converging traditional and modern cultures. While a lot of her films seem like simple quirky comedies about Indian women, they actually cover a lot of social and emotional issues, especially the ones people get into. Much of his work includes adapting books to movies, but with a different flair. She is known for her hit movies Bhaji on the Beach, Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, It's a Wonderful Afterlife and Viceroy's House. His latest releases are the biographical musical film Blinded by the Light and the TV show Beecham House.
