He is best known for writing for Kids, writing and directing Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy, Mister Lonely and Spring Breakers. His film Trash Humpers premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the main award, the DOX Award, at CPH: DOX. In 2019, Korine completed its first project in six years, The Beach Bum.
