Harvey Weinstein is a former American film producer and has been convicted of sex crimes. After leaving Miramax, Weinstein and his brother Bob founded The Weinstein Company, a large and small film studio. He co-chaired with Bob from 2005 to 2017. In October 2017, following allegations of sexual abuse dating back to the late 1970s, Weinstein was fired from his business and expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
