Hasim Sharif Rahman is a retired American professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2014. He is a two-time heavyweight world champion, each wearing WBC, IBF, IBO and linear uniform belts in 2001; and the WBC title again from 2005 to 2006. He was ranked by BoxRec as the world's top 10 heavyweight from 2000 to 2005, and reached No. 6 in the world at the end of 2004. Rahman Times was known for the first time on the world stage in 2001 when he picked up an ugly knockout victory over Lennox Lewis to win a Unified Heavyweight Championship. Lewis avenge the loss and regained his championship by defeating Rahman in a rematch later that year. Rahman won the WBC title for the second time in 2005 by defeating Monte Barrett, which then lifted him to the championship position at the end of the year. His championship reign ended in 2006 with another knockout defeat, this time against Oleg Maskaev in their first rematch in 1999 .
