Hernán Jorge Crespo is a former professional football player and coach from Argentina. He is the current manager of the Brazilian club São Paulo. A prolific striker, Crespo has scored more than 300 goals in his 19-year career. Internationally, he scored 35 goals and was Argentina's fourth top scorer, behind only Sergio Agüero, Gabriel Batistuta and Lionel Messi. He has played in three FIFA World Cups: 1998, 2002, 2006. At club level, Crespo is the most expensive player in the world, when he was bought by Lazio from Parma in 2000 for 56 million euros. He was Serie A's top scorer in 2000-01 with 26 goals, while playing for Lazio. The Crespo awards include three Serie A championships, a Copa Libertadores, a Premier League title and an Olympic silver medal. In 2004, Pelé was named to the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest surviving players. Crespo has never received a red card in his career.
