Ian Scott Anderson is a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter best known for his work as the singer, flute player and acoustic guitarist of the British rock band Jethro Tull. He is a multi-instrumentalist, in addition to the flute, he also plays keyboards, acoustic and bass guitars, bouzouki, balalaika, saxophone, harmonica and various whistles. His solo work began with the 1983 album Walk into Light; since then he has released five more works, including a sequel to Jethro's 2012 album Thick as a brick, titled Thick as Brick 2
