Jan-Håkan "Ian" Haugland is the drummer for the Swedish European rock band. At the age of eight months, he and his family moved to the suburb of Stockholm in Märsta, Sweden. He joined Europe in the summer of 1984, replacing Tony Reno. Haugland has performed in a number of groups before, including Trilogy, where Candlemass bassist Leif Edling sings, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen's group Rising Force.
