Imogen Jennifer Heap is an English singer-songwriter, record producer and sound engineer. His work has been considered a pioneer in pop and electropop music. He was trained in piano, cello and clarinet from an early age. She began writing songs at the age of 13 and while studying at boarding school, she taught herself to produce music. After being discovered by his manager Mickey Modern while attending BRIT, Heap signed with independent music label Almo Sounds at the age of 18 and then began working with the experimental pop group Acacia.
