Jack Reid is a Canadian watercolor artist. Born in Toronto, Reid learned on his own, starting as a graphic designer until becoming a full-time artist in 1970. He has taught seminars and performances and started on tours around the world. Since 1971, taught over 11,000 students in the 1990s. Reid has had a successful career for over six decades, with several paintings entering Queen Elizabeth II's personal collection at Windsor Castle. In 1992, he received a commemorative medal from the Canadian government for his contribution to Canadian art and was named Artist of the Year in his hometown of Brampton. He exhibited in London, England with the Royal Institute of Watercolor Painters. He is a longtime member of the Toronto Writing and Arts Club, Brampton Visual Arts and the Canadian Association of Watercolor Painters. He has written two books, Aquarelle Basics: Let's Get Started and Draw Snow and Water.
