NBA forward recognized for his tenacity and three-point shooting ability. He played for the Dallas Mavericks from 2012 to 2014, then the Boston Celtics from 2014 to 2017. He played with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first half of the 2017-18 season before being traded to the Utah Jazz.
Corey Jae Crowder is an American professional basketball player for the National Basketball Association's Phoenix Suns. He is the son of former NBA player Corey Crowder. Lacking employment after high school, Crowder entered South Georgia Technical College and then Howard College, where he led the team to the NJCAA South Division I basketball championship for the second year. At Howard College, Crowder was also named State Farm Junior College Player of the Year. He then moved to Marquette, where he was named the best player in the East during his senior season. After the end of his senior year, he qualified for the 2012 NBA Draft where he was named 34th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers and traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night. In 2014, Crowder was traded with the Boston Celtics. He spent three years in Boston before being transferred to his drafting team, the Cavaliers, in August 2017 .
