Jake Austin Szymanski, known by the stage name Jake T. Austin, is an American actor. Beginning his career as a child actor at the age of 7, Austin was five times nominated for the Young Artist Award, twice nominated for the Teen Choice Award and Nickelodeon Award Nominee Kids' Choice. Better known as Max Russo in Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place series and as Diego in Nickelodeon Go, Diego, Go !. Austin is also the lead actor who played Jesus Foster in the ABC Family teen drama / television series The Fosters. His feature film credits include joint roles in Hotel for Dogs, New Year Eve, Rio, and The Emoji Movie.
