James Reimer is a professional Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who currently plays for the Carolina Hurricanes team of the National Hockey League. Reimer also played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs, San Jose Sharks and the Florida Panthers. He was selected by Maple Leafs for the 4th round of NHL Draft 2006. He started playing small hockey in his hometown when he was 12 years old. He played junior hockey with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League, after being selected for the fifth round of the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft. After turning pro, Reimer played with the South Carolina Stingrays and the ECHL of Reading Royals, as well as the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. He was named top player of the ECHL knockout round when the Stingrays won the Kelly Cup in 2009. Reimer made his NHL debut against the Maple Leafs in 2010-11 and replaced Jean-Sébastien. .
