Jared Corey Kushner is an American investor, heiress, real estate developer and press publisher. He used to be a senior adviser to stepfather, Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States. Kushner is the son of former real estate developer Charles Kushner and is married to Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Trump and also a board member. After his father was convicted and sentenced to prison for fraud, he took over the management of his father's real estate company, Kushner Companies, where his entrepreneurial career began. He later also bought Observer Media, the publisher of the New York Observer. He is co-founder and co-owner of Cadre, an online real estate investment platform. During Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, Kushner helped develop and manage Trump's digital media strategy. In 2017, he was appointed senior White House adviser, raising concerns over cronyism.
