Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tig Junior Elvis Iginla is a former Canadian professional ice hockey winger. He has played over 1,500 National Hockey League games for the Calgary Flame, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings. As a child, Iginla was a member of two Memorial Cup-winning teams with the Kamloops Blazers and was named top player in the Western Hockey League in 1996. He was selected as the 11th final by the Dallas Stars in the 1995 NHL Draft, but was transferred to Calgary before his NHL debut. Nicknamed "Iggy," he led the NHL in goals and points from 2001–2002 and won the Lester B. Pearson Award as player-voted most valuable player. In 2003-04, Iginla led the tournament for the second time in goals and captained the Flames to reach the Stanley Cup final, leading the knockout round in goals. Six-time NHL star, Iginla is the Flames' all-time leader in goals, points and games played, and second in assists behind Al MacInnis.
