Jason Paul Collins is a former American professional basketball player who has been at the center for 13 seasons with the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball for Stanford Cardinal, where he was a global American in 2000-01. Collins was selected by the Houston Rockets as the 18th choice in NBA Draft 2001. He went on to play for the New Jersey Nets, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets. After the 2012-13 NBA season ended, Collins declared himself gay.
