Wendell Ramone "Jay" Ellis Jr is an American actor. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, he began modeling, before moving to Los Angeles and starting his acting career. In 2013, he received his first leading role in BET's The Game series. In 2015, he joined the cast of the HBO series Insecure, which premiered in 2016. He also starred in the horror film Escape Room.
