He comes from a family of famous actors and appeared in the drama Sea Hunt alongside his father, Lloyd Bridges and brother, Beau Bridges. As one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, he has won numerous awards, including an Oscar for Best Actor for his role as an alcoholic singer in Crazy Heart. 2009. Critics Pauline Kael wrote that Bridges "is perhaps the most natural-looking, self-aware film actress who ever lived".
