Asian-American guard whose brief scoring surge with the New York Knicks in 2011 sparked a nationwide "Linsanity" mania. In 2012, he signed a $25 million contract with the Houston Rockets, then in 2014, he was transferred to the Los Angeles Lakers. Before joining the Toronto Raptors in 2019, he had time with the Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, and Atlanta Hawks.

Jeremy Shu-How Lin is an American professional basketball player with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G. He unexpectedly led the victory with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association in the 2011–12 season, creating a well-known cultural phenomenon under the name of "Linsanity". Lin was the first Chinese or Taiwanese American to play in the NBA and is one of the few Asian Americans to have played in the tournament. He is the first Asian American to win an NBA championship, having already done so with the Toronto Raptors in 2019. He is also known to be a devotee of God. Lin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and won the Northern California Basketball Player of the Year award as a high school student. After failing to receive a sports scholarship, he attended Harvard University, where he was a three-time Ivy League player.
