James Christopher Gaffigan is an American comedian, actor, writer and producer. He was raised in Chesterton, Indiana. His documents often focus on paternity, spectacle, laziness, and food. It is also considered a "clean" comic, using little obscene language in its regular activities. He has had a number of particularly popular movies, including Mr. Universe, Obsessed, Cinco and Quality Time, all received Grammy nominations. His memoir, Dad Is Fat, and his most recent book, Food: A Love Story, are both published by Crown Publishers. He co-created and starred in a life-based Land TV series called The Jim Gaffigan Show. He worked a lot with his wife, actress Jeannie Gaffigan, and they had five children together. They are Catholic, a topic that appears frequently on his comedy shows, and he and his family currently live in Manhattan, New York.
