James Alvin Palmer is an American former professional baseball player who has played for 19 years in the Major League baseball tournament for the Baltimore Orioles team. Palmer was MLB's biggest pitcher in the 1970s, with a total of 186 wins. He has also won at least 20 games in eight different seasons and has won three Cy Young and four Golden Gloves awards in a decade. 268 wins in his career are now an Orioles record. Having won the All-Star Championship of the American League six times, he is also one of the few throws that has never won a Grand Slam in any major tournament. Palmer made eight appearances in the knockout stages and was a key member of the three World Series champions, six AL pennant winners and seven East Division title winners. He's the only pitcher in history to have won a World Series match in three different decades. He is also the youngest to fully compete in a World Series, nine days before his 21st birthday in 1966, in which he beat Sandy Koufax in Koufax's final appearance.
