James William Ross is an American professional wrestling commentator and talent relationship manager, currently under contract with All Elite Wrestling as a senior commentator, analyst and advisor. Ross is best known for a long career and is best known as a match-by-game commentator for WWE. He is affectionately known as Good ol 'JR and is dubbed the greatest wrestling commentator of all time. After many years working in various professional wrestling jobs, Ross became the main announcer of Central South Wrestling in the early 1980s. He continued to comment on National Wrestling Union and World Championships Wrestling, before switching to the World Wrestling Federation, first appeared for promotion at WrestleMania IX in 1993. During his tenure with WWE, Ross was considered by many to have voice. of society, especially in the Age of Attitude in the late 1990s and early 2000s
