Little Big Town is an American country music group. Founded in 1998, the group is made up of four identical members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. Their music style is mainly based on four-part harmony, with the four members alternating as main vocalists. After a recording contract with Mercury Nashville Records that did not produce singles or albums, Little Big Town released his debut album on Monument Records in 2002. It produced two small singles in the national charts. before the band does not leave the label. In 2005, the group signed with Equity Music Group, an independent label owned by Clint Black. Their second album, The Road to Here, was released that year and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. A Place to Land, their third album, was released via Equity, then re-released via Capitol Nashville after Equity closed in 2008 .
