Joseph John Maddon Jr. is an American professional baseball manager for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League baseball team. Previously, he led the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago Cubs. Maddon began his MLB coaching career with Angels in 1994 and served under Buck Rodgers, Marcel Lachemann, John McNamara, Terry Collins and Mike Scioscia. He served two terms as Acting Director during this time. He led Rays from 2006 to 2014, winning the American League flag in 2008. After relinquishing his contract after the 2014 season, he joined the Cubs, leading them to the series. The 2015 National Championship and named 2015 National Tournament Director of the Year In 2016, Maddon managed the Cubs to their first World Series title since 1908.
