Joel Nathaniel Campbell Samuels is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays as striker and winger for Liga MX León club and the Costa Rica national team. Campbell joined Arsenal in 2011 and was on loan to French club Lorient, Spanish club Real Betis and Greek club Olympiacos. He made his debut for Arsenal when the club won the FA Community Shield in 2014. He was once again on loan for La Liga team Villarreal before scoring his first Arsenal goal in 2015. Campbell has so far made over 90 caps for Costa Rica and is a member of the 2014 Copa Centroamericana Championship squad. He was also part of the Costa Rica squad that reached the last round of eight World Cup soccer teams at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
