Joel Timothy Houston is an Australian musician, musician, pastor and frontman of Sydney-based Hillsong United, a Hillsong Church worship group. He has been co-pastor at Hillsong NYC since 2010. He is the conductor of the Christian cult group Hillsong UNITED, where he sings, plays guitar and writes songs. In 2008, he became the Creative Director of Hillsong Church. He is the eldest son of church founders and senior world pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston and the grandson of Frank Houston. He has two siblings, an older brother Benjamin and a younger sister, Laura. Houston is also bassist for Able Marty Sampson, Michael Guy Chislett and Luke Munns, which won the Channel V Leg Up competition in 2001
