John Cullum is an American actor and singer. He has appeared in many musicals and dramas, including Shenandoah and On the Twentieth Century, winning the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for Everyone. In 1966, he earned his first Tony nomination for a lead role in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, in which he performed the title track, and more recently he received a Tony nomination for Urinetown The Musical and is the best male lead in a revival of 110 in the dark. Some of his other notable roles include pub owner Holling Vincoeur in the TV series Northern Exposure, which won an Emmy nomination. He appeared in fifteen episodes of the NBC TV series as the father of Mark Greene. He also played a farmer, Jim Dahlberg, in the historical drama The Day After.
