John Sherwood of Lancie, Jr. is an American actor, director, producer, writer, educator, and comedian best known for his Q role in various Star Trek series, starting with Star Trek: The Next Generation. His other roles in the TV series include Eugene Bradford in Days of Our Lives, Frank Simmons in Stargate SG-1 and Donald Margolis in Breaking Bad, and the voice of Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In the 2010s, de Lancie was recognized for her public support of My Little Pony's fandom's Bronias: Friendship Is Magic. He became a straightforward secular activist and guest speaker at Reason Rally 2016 and CSICon 2019.
