About John Densmore
He is a drummer for the American rock band The Doors, along with singer Jim Morrison, guitarist Robby Krieger, and keyboardist Ray Manzarek. The Doors' renowned rock anthems include"Light My Fire,""The End", and"Love Me Two Times".
John Paul Densmore is an American musician, songwriter, author and actor. He is best known as the drummer for rock band The Doors, and as such a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has appeared on all of the group's records, with drums inspired by jazz and world music as well as rock and roll. Densmore is also known for vetoing attempts by two other Doors members, following the death of singer Jim Morrison in 1971, accepting a licensing offer for rights to different Doors songs for commercially intended, as well as opposed to their use in the 21st century by the Doors name and symbol. Densmore's protracted legal battles to ensure respect for his veto, based on a 1960 contract requiring a consensus among the Doors' members to use the band's name or music, were ending with a total victory for him and his allies in Morrison's realm.
