In 2007, Legend received the Hal David Starlight Award from the Writers Hall of Fame. Legend won the Oscar for Best Original Song and the 2015 Golden Globe Awards for co-writing the song "Glory" from the movie Selma. He also won 11 Grammy Awards. In 2017, Legend received the Tony Award for co-producing Jitney for the Broadway stage.
