Jonathan Scott Frakes is an American actor and director. Frakes is known for his role as Commander William Riker in the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation and subsequent films. Frakes also hosts the television series Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. In June 2011, Frakes narrated the Historical Channel documentary Lee and Grant. He is the voice of David Xanatos in the Disney Gargoyles TV series. Frakes performed while playing in Star Trek: First Contact as well as Star Trek: Insurrection. He has directed more than 70 TV episodes, including episodes of several TV series Star Trek and The Orville. He is the author of the novel The Kidnapper: Conspiracy.
