After graduating from high school in 2008, she moved to Toronto to study Drama and Psychology at the University of Toronto. She started out as a model and quickly fell in love with the theater in Canada. She appeared in her first appearance on the Man Seeking Woman television series, and then had a recurring role in the 12 Monkeys series. She went on to appear in many different dramas, including Supernatural. She made her breakthrough playing Grace Hargreeves, a robot, in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, which earned her wide recognition.
