Joseph Charles Buttler is an English international cricketer and current vice-captain of the British cricket team at the Limits of Cricket. He is considered by some to be England's best white hitter of all time. A right-handed player, Buttler often plays as a running back and has represented England in Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket matches. Buttler was England's vice-captain at the 2019 Cricket World Cup, where England became world champions for the first time in their history. Buttler currently plays for Lancashire in British domestic cricket, has previously represented Somerset and has also appeared for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. Holding the century's fastest ODI record as an Englishman, Buttler is widely regarded as one of the best net bats in the world.
