José Guadalupe Esparza is a Mexican singer and songwriter and leader of the Bronco. He was born in Durango, but raised in the town of Apodaca, Nuevo León, where he attended elementary and high school. From an early age, he wanted to become a singer. In 1974, with some of his friends, José Guadalupe Esparza formed the Bronco group. As the lead vocalist, el Negro, as his friends call him, not only became an instant hit thanks to his distinctive voice, but was also admired as a talented musician. Because of his special writing style, such artists as Antonio Aguilar, Dulce, Lucero, Lupita Piñeda, Alejandro Fernández, Los Humildes, Mandingo, Banda Machos, Liberación, Guardianes del Amor, Los Rieleros del Norte, Pesado , among others, took a view of reinterpreting and releasing their own versions of his songs. José Guadalupe Esparza has recorded 18 albums with Bronco and 10 solo albums.
