Former MLB pitcher who spent the majority of his career with the San Francisco Giants and was a 10-time All-Star. In 1983, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Juan Antonio Marichal Sánchez is a former Dominican professional baseball player. He played as a right-handed thrower in Major League Baseball, most notably for the San Francisco Giants. Marichal is known for his high kicking style, precise control and durability. Marichal also played for the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers in the last two seasons of his career. Although he won more games than any other pitcher during the 1960s, he only appeared in one World Series game and he was often eclipsed by contemporaries Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson in the awards after the season. Marichal was introduced to Baseball Fame Hall in 1983 .
