Julie Bowen Luetkemeyer is an American actress known for her role as Claire Dunphy in the comedy TV series Modern Family. She also played Roxanne Please on the ER, Carol Vessey on Ed, Denise Bauer on Boston Legal, and Sarah Shephard on Lost. Her role in Modern Family earned her six Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series, which she won in 2011 and 2012. Bowen has also appeared in the films Happy Gilmore, Multipcies, Venus and Mars, Joe Somebody, Kids in America, Sex and Death 101, Crazy on the Outside, Jumping the Broom and Horrible Bosses among others.
