Meelah is a Motown vocalist best known as a member of the Platinum-selling duo 702. Following the dissolution of the trio, she has appeared as a guest vocalist on songs by artists such as Snoop Dogg and Macy Gray.
702, named after the area code for their hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, are an American R&B girl group, with the latest and greatest lineup that includes Kameelah Williams and the Irish sisters and LeMisha Grinstead. Initially the group was a quartet made up of the Grinstead sisters, made up of identical Irish and Orish twins, sisters LeMisha and Amelia Childs who they made their debut as notable artists on the single. Amelia and Orish were taken out of the group because Mike Bivens didn't like their vocals and were briefly replaced by their classmates Tiffany Villarreal and Kameelah Williams. Six months before the release of their first single, Tiffany will leave the group. Continuing as a trio, they released their first single "Steelo" with great success. Their first album No Doubt, released in 1996, sold 500,000 copies in the United States.
