Kathrin Romary Beckinsale is an English actress and model. After a few small roles on television, her film debut was Many Ado About Nothing when she was a student at the University of Oxford. She has appeared in British costume dramas such as Prince of Jutland, Cold Comfort Farm, Emma and The Golden Bowl, in addition to various theater and radio productions. She began her film work in the United States in the late 1990s, and after starring in the small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco and Brokedown Palace, she starred in the war film Pearl Port, the romantic comedy Serendipity and Tiptoes. She has watched appearances in The Aviator and Click. After his role as Selene in the Underworld series, Beckinsale is known for his action films like Van Helsing, Whiteout, Contraband and Total Recall. She went on to appear in small drama projects such as Snow Angels, Nothing but the Truth, and Everybody's Fine.
