Kathleen Herles is a former American comedian, best known for her leading role as Dora in Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go !. Herles was born in Queens, New York. His parents are from Lima, Peru. She learned ballet, machine dance, jazz, theater and voice. She learns the piano. She was discovered by talent manager Shirley Grant of Shirley Grant Management at a talent conference and modeling when she was 4 years old. She graduated from Pace University in 2012. She graduated in 2008 at Deer Park High School, where she appeared in school works The Wiz and Footloose. In 2008, Herles stopped voicing Dora the Explorer and was replaced by Caitlin Sanchez.
