His works are known for their repetitive themes which oppose hope / despair, luck / talent, fact / fiction, truth / lie; a mixture of tragedy with dark humor and many other details. He was an employee of Spike Chunsoft and is widely known as the creator and screenwriter of the Danganronpa franchise. He left the company in 2017 and founded a new video game company, Too Kyo Games.
